About DTM Copywriting
Who are you?

Hi, I'm Hayley, a freelance Copywriter based in Whiteley (though I've been lucky enough to work with clients from around the world)!

I think, deep down, I knew I was made for the world of advertising from a young age, when I wrote an advert for a homework project about a pig farm and its 'oinkcredible' prices (you'll have to excuse that terrible pun, I was probably around ten years old). I suppose after that pure stroke of genius, the copywriter in me was awakened. Several years later, I graduated from the University of Southampton with a degree in English Literature, where I gained experience in writing academic articles, newspaper articles, fiction novels, scripts, and more. I like to think that my writing has improved as a result.

I created DTM Copywriting for one simple reason: I want to use my life-long passion for writing to make your life easier. Sometimes, it's difficult to put your dreams for your business into words (how do you describe something that means everything to you?), sometimes you need to hire someone else to do it for you.

Maybe that someone is me.

What do you specialise in?

I currently specialise in blogs, web copy, and social media (who doesn't love a good GIF?), though I do offer a range of other services that promise to bring a creative, 'outside-the-box', perspective to your business. Check out my 'services' page to find out more.

What does 'DTM' stand for?

'DTM' is the standard that my writing has to fit before I even consider sending it to you. It's a motto that I've lived by for several years, and it stands for 'drop the mic'. Okay, I know what you're thinking: 'what does that have to do with writing?'. For me, it has everything to do with writing. If I write something and don't feel like dropping a mic once I've read it back to myself, then it's not strong enough (trust me, this got me through many university essays, and it'll get you the results you want too).

So, why don't you find out how I can make you want to #DropTheMic?
